Our prized runners
I would like to thank The Aspen Times for their increased coverage of sports in our area. In addition to the great results from the Basalt runners, there are five kids from the Aspen High School cross country team that qualified for the state championships last Saturday in El Jebel.
Natalie Obermeyer, Lindsey Wilkinson, Britney Marrs and Briana Morse finished in the top 20 girls race that day. Scott Lacy running in the boys race finished sixth.
The top 20 in each race go onto the states in Colorado Springs this weekend.
Our Aspen kids deserve the recognition and congratulations for all the hard word they have done to have qualified for the state championships!

It’s hard to fight City Hall and even harder to fight well-funded neighbors who don’t want any development near them, a local man has realized. So he settled for less than what he and his partner bought the property for.
