Optimize your immune system without a shot
I am letting everyone know about a noninvasive, healthy alternative to the flu shot.
The majority of people in the Roaring Fork Valley have an immune system equipped with necessary weaponry to battle the flu virus. What many people don’t realize is when there is a problem with how the body signals to the immune system, the virus can invade temporarily until the immune system fully kicks in to combat the invasion, which usually only takes a few days.
Influenza virus strains used to make the vaccines are gathered in Asia approximately one year before the vaccination is produced. If this vaccine is a highly unlikely match for the ever changing virus strain, it’s only effective for a couple of weeks after the vaccine is administered.
Here’s the kicker: Influenza vaccines are reproduced in chicken embryos (for all of you vegans and vegetarians out there). They are preserved with formaldehyde, the stuff that keeps dead tissue from decomposing, and thimerosal, a mercury derivative. Some vaccines contain up to 25 micrograms of mercury per dose, which is enough to cause brain damage,
especially in children. These additives can cause life threatening reactions, not to mention documented cases of encephalitis and neurological disorders such as Guillain-Barre syndrome, which is usually fatal in one out of 20 victims.
Maybe this will sound better: Your central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) sends and receives trillions of messages each day. The immune system is coordinated with these messages at all times for survival.
Because we are a product of our environment, our physiology adapts as necessary. It’s an adaptive process that even science and math cannot match.
The typical person in this valley will breathe a magnesium chloride mist as they commute up and down Highway 82 in the winter. Almost everyone eats non-seasonal food from City Market (enough said?) One day we will be able to get genetically modified food from Whole Paycheck. Are you married? Do you have children? Stressful?
Do you have a job? Do you beat your body up on a daily basis?
All of these environmental components bombard our nervous system and cause dysfunction and misinterpretation of information throughout your brain and the rest of your body. Since your spine protects and houses your central nervous system, it also compensates for these ass-kickings and typically becomes misaligned and enables miscommunication.
A chiropractor is a nervous-system doctor who locates and removes this interference which will allow for better immune defense. A properly functioning nervous and immune system is the best and most effective way to promote health.
Do you have a spine? Do you think it’s important? Do you get regular dental check-ups? If so, why would you treat your spine differently than your teeth? Go visit a chiropractor today and get your spine checked so you can optimize your immune system and fight the flu more effectively.

Telemedicine is a growing field that provides Roaring Fork Valley residents with access to specialists without driving to Denver or Grand Junction. A new midvalley business called Sentia is providing facilities to make telemedicine more accessible.
