One-on-one, in the alley

Dear Editor:Hey Matt, come on out!I will not herein do a point-by-point refutation of Matthew Starbuck’s weasel-worded letter, “America, then and now” (Aspen Times, May 9). I will save that for a time when and if I get an in-person, face-to-face with Matthew. Because it was when this weenie transitioned from weasel words to fighting words that I decided to offer him the following: I will meet Matthew in any alley of his choosing, just the two of us, so he can tell me in person that I’m a racist. The Times has my permission to give Matthew my telephone number so he can call me to let me know the alley, time and day.But if Matthew decides to make that long walk, he should first call his mother, get his affairs in order and tell his friends and loved ones he will be MIA for a very long time.I eagerly await Matt’s call.Mike McGarryAspen
