One lucky homeowner will get $2,500 upgrade

ASPEN – One lucky homeowner in Pitkin County, the Roaring Fork Valley portion of Eagle County or the Crystal River Valley of Gunnison County will earn a $2,500 home-energy upgrade in a program organized by the Community Office for Resource Efficiency and Energy Smart.

The winning homeowner will receive as much as $2,500 in materials and pro bono labor from the Energy Smart team and contractors. The work can range from efficiency improvements to solar panels. Interested homeowners must describe in 500 words or fewer why their home needs an energy upgrade, including what type of work is needed to make the home warmer, safer and less costly to heat. Requests and contact information must be sent to Amelia Potvin at CORE by Monday. The winner will be selected Dec. 27.
