On vets, dogs, the airport and trail
Dear Editor:
Now that the election is over, other issues come to mind:
• I was appalled at the lack of civilian attendance at the Veterans Day service.
• The person with the ridgeback Tim Reed referred to as a troll is the same person who left a disgusting dump (not sure if it was his or the dog’s!) on Smuggler Road.
• How many times are we going to redo the airport? Some of it is a total waste of money and unnecessary.
• Our dear Pattie Seifert always wanted the Rio Grande to stay as is. Leave it alone, and don’t put the bridge in – whether you can afford it or not.

Aspen Police, neighbors apply for bear management grant
Aspen and Pitkin County have the largest black bear population and as such, are hoping for a big portion of a Colorado Parks and Wildlife grant to help educate and enforcement rules around securing trash.
