On the Hill Summer, brought to you by The Steadman Clinic and the Steadman Philippon Research Institute, brings you a video report about a different High Country adventure every day.

Today’s activity: Wheelchair racing/Aspen Valley Marathon

Conditions: Today, we’re checking out wheelchair racing. Three wheelchair racers join the field for this year’s Aspen Valley Marathon, a downhill course from Aspen to Basalt. They’re raising money for the Christopher Reeve Foundation and spinal-cord injury research. Check these guys out. They all made it to Basalt well ahead of the runners.

Today’s weather: Mostly sunny, high near 84. Light and variable wind 5-10 mph from the north-northwest. — National Weather Service
