Aspen official report: 7″ of new snow overnight, 10″ in the past 48 hours, and 29″ in the past week.
Aspen Times field report: Really snowy! Very poor visibility almost all of the way down Aspen Mountain this morning. The overnight accumulation wasn’t much, but it has been dumping steadily since daybreak and there is easily 5-7 inches of heavy, wet snow to play in. BRING GOOD GOGGLES and BUNDLE UP! It’s chilly today!
Liftline status: What exactly IS a lift line?
Snowcast: Snow showers likely. Some thunder is also possible. Cloudy, with a high near 38. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of around an inch possible. Tonight: Snow showers likely. Some thunder is also possible. Cloudy, with a low around 17. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible. This storm should leave us with a total of almost two feet of snow over the course of the week. Friday looks pretty clear, but expect a second wave Saturday through Monday.
