Aspen official report: 9″ of new snow overnight, 9″ in the past 48 hours, and 15″ in the past week.
Aspen Times field report: DUMPING this morning, with fresh, boot-deep pow. Snow drifts and powder stashes all over the mountain. It’s 40°, but feels colder, though there is not much of a wind to this storm . Still, it’s a good day to don extra layers, face masks, handwarmers, etc.
Liftline status: POWDER DAY! Still, you won’t find much of a line on Aspen Mountain.
Snowcast: 80% chance of snow showers today. Snow showers, mainly before 4am. Low around 15. West wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
