VIDEO: After a wild, sunny weekend of corn skiing and general merriment, this Monday morning seems like a perfect time to break out the road bike for the first ride of the year. Aspen Times roving adventure correspondent Corby Anderson takes his road bike on a shakedown cruise down the Rio Grande for a cup o’ joe.

ASPEN TIMES FIELD REPORT: The Power of Four is now down to the soul survivor of the 2014-15 ski season: Aspen Mountain remains open after Buttermilk, Snowmass and Highlands have closed. Skiing should be best around 2pm. WEAR SUNSCREEN! On the trail, the Rio Grande is in excellent road biking shape. The sun is strong and light winds are at the back of the upvalley peddler.
