Today’s activity: Hiking through history/Doc Holliday’s grave

Conditions: Today, we’re hiking through history. On a downvalley excursion to Glenwood Springs, we’re hiking to the historic cemetery when the legendary Doc Holliday is buried. Holliday moved to Glenwood Springs late in his life, about six years after the gunfight at the OK Corral in Arizona. It’s a short, 15-minute hike to Linwood Cemetery (also known as Pioneer Cemetery) from Bennett Avenue in Glenwood Springs. Check it out.

Today’s weather: Partly sunny. High near 79. A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Light, variable winds. — National Weather Service
