On the Hill Summer, brought to you by The Steadman Clinic and the Steadman Philippon Research Institute, brings you a video report about a different High Country adventure every day.

Today’s activity: Hiking the Hunter Creek Trail

Conditions: Today, we’re checking out a popular hiking trail that takes off from Aspen. It’s the Hunter Creek Trail. It climbs up into the Hunter Creek Valley, and it’s an alternative to hiking up the Smuggler Road. A series of bridges on the lower end cover the delicate wetlands. And you can hike as far as you like.

Today’s weather: Mostly sunny, high near 80. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Light winds — National Weather Service
