Aspen official report: 5″ of new snow in the past 24 hours, 5″ in the past 48, and 23″ in the past week.
Aspen Times field report: Today’s ski conditions can only be described as incredibly and fun. Soft, consistent snow from top to bottom, with light powder in the trees from yesterdays dump, and warm, springy conditions. Go skiing. Right now!
Liftline status: I think that I saw a guy getting on a lift, but not sure. It might have been a mirage.
Snowcast: Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 45. West wind 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight: A 20 percent chance of snow showers after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast in the evening.
Saturday: A chance of snow showers before 1pm, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Cloudy, with a high near 43. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Saturday night: A 50 percent chance of snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Snow possibly through Monday.
