On The HIll: Bright blues skies in Aspen today beckon a nice new storm tonight

Aspen official report: No new snow overnight. 5″ of new snow in the past week. Up to a foot expected by Monday.

Aspen Times field report: Blue skies, fairly warm temps and light lift lines on Aspen conspire to make this an exta long weekend, as a new storm moves into town tonight!

Liftline status: No liftlines at all this morning on Aspen Mountain.

Breakdown: The recent warm snap (relatively speaking) has softened up the slopes very nicely. After enjoying early season snowfall in the 125+% of normal range, we could use some regular dumpage. But fear not! Tomorrow looks to hearald a new storm.

Snowcast:Sunny and highs in the upper 30’s today, with temps dropping significantly tonight and peaking at about 20 degrees through Monday. 90% chance of snow tonight. Snow expected Saturday and Sunday. A winter storm warning is in effect through Monday. Up to a foot or more of snow is expected between tonight and Monday.
