Omissions on Israel

Dear Editor:

David Kurdish’s propaganda letter listing the “benefits” of American aid to Israel omits many facts.

For 2005 the aid under the Bush/Cheney regime is $12 billion not $2.5 billion. Since 1967 Israel has received more U.S. dollars than any other country and has a higher equivalent per capita income than the United States.

Mr. Kurdish omits the killing of Rachel Corrie in March 2003 as she resisted the bulldozing of Palestinian homes by Israel, resulting in her death and the dismemberment of her body. She was a U.S. citizen and a member of the International Solidarity Movement, a peace-seeking organization.

Mr. Kurdish also omits the war crimes and attack upon the U.S.S. Liberty, resulting in the death of 34 American sailors and wounding of 171 by an aircraft and torpedo attack upon a U.S. vessel on June 8, 1967.
