Old Snowmass Dems’ dinner Wednesday

Dear Editor:

We would like to invite you to our Pitkin County Democrats Dinner at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the T-Lazy 7 Ranch Lodge. (In observance of Yom Kippur, our dinner begins after sundown.)

Among those offering rousing speeches will be U.S. Rep. Steny H. Hoyer, Democratic whip, Colorado Democratic Party Chairman Rick Palacio, state Sen. Gail Schwartz, 3rd Congressional District candidate Sal Pace, state Rep. Roger Wilson and state Rep. Millie Hamner.

Meet your local candidates, CU regent candidate Jessica Garrow, Pitkin County commissioner candidate Steve Childs and district attorney candidate Sherry Caloia.

Tickets start at $50 and include Hickory House barbecue, cash bar and music by Dan Sheridan. To purchase tickets, go to http://www.pitkincountydemocrats.org. Proceeds benefit our local party efforts and projects. Come out and mingle with your fellow Democrats, become engaged in the election, pick up bumper stickers and Obama yard signs and become “fired up and ready to go.” See you Wednesday.
