Off-track insight from the Times

Dear Editor:

Congratulations on being consistently out of touch! First you support Jack Johnson and Michael Wampler for City Council; neither won. Then you supported the Aspen Art Museum, and the voters said no. Not to be out done, you are now focusing your energies against the Tree Farm project, which you correctly state complies with the regulations and master plans of both Eagle County and Basalt all because the Times, in their infinite wisdom, does not believe El Jebel needs more housing.

I think it is great that a local company wants to invest in the valley while providing affordable housing and embracing solar and hydropower technology. It’s troubling that our local paper fails to understand the importance of this project; hopefully the Eagle County commissioners do.
