Oct. 12 Pitkin commissioners meeting cancelled
Pitkin County commissioners this week cancelled their regular bi-monthly meeting scheduled for Oct. 12 because it is a Jewish holiday.
Commissioners usually refrain from scheduling meetings on Jewish holidays, but made a mistake at the beginning of the year and scheduled a regular meeting that day, which is Yom Kippur, said Commissioner Rachel Richards.
Items scheduled to be heard Oct. 12 will be rescheduled. The next regular meeting is Oct. 26.
