Obituary: John J. Acke
Roaring Fork Valley resident John J. Acke died Sept. 11 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Acke lived life to the fullest, traveling with family and friends, riding his Goldwing, and fishing at Lake Powell.
He was a plumbing contractor and valley resident for the past 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry; sons Jeff and Scott; parents John and Florence; sister Mary and her husband, Dave Romont; grandchildren Chantelle, Siera, Grace and Amanda; niece Lori; and nephews Steve and Mike. Acke was preceded in death by his brother Paul.
An open house will be held on Sunday, Sept. 28, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Call 927-4680 for details.
