Obituary: Dorothy Mae Blanc

Carbondale resident Dorothy Mae Blanc died Jan. 19 at Heritage Park Care Center. She was 86 years old.

Blanc was born Nov. 18, 1913, in Olton, Okla. She worked as a dietitian, and was very dedicated to religion.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry, and husband, August. Survivors include: son Leonard Blanc, of Kalispell, Mont.; sisters Jewell Schauster of Basalt, and Elma Pizzalato of Sandpoint, Idaho; brothers Emmett Doyal of Moab, Utah, Jack Doyal of Gardnerville, Calif., Ray Doyal of Priest River, Idaho, and Albert Doyal of Troy, Mont.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service, officiated by Father Tom Bradtke, will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Crown Church in Carbondale. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Mary the Crown Church
