In addition to her parents, she is survived by her 8-year-old brother, Jesse.

A memorial service celebrating her life and trip home is set for 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the Roaring Fork High School auditorium in Carbondale.

A private family interment ceremony will be held at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at Alpine Bank in Carbondale.
