Obama adds second day to Colorado visit

The Associated Press
Aspen, CO Colorado

PUEBLO, Colo. ” Barack Obama has added a second day to his Colorado campaign trip next week, scheduling an event in Denver on Tuesday.

Obama originally planned to stop in Pueblo and Grand Junction on Monday. On Friday his campaign said he would stay a second day.

It’s another sign of the emphasis that Obama, a Democrat, and Republican John McCain are placing on Colorado.

McCain’s running mate, Sarah Palin, will appear Monday in Golden. It will be her second trip to Colorado this month.

Obama was last in Colorado on Aug. 28, when he accepted the nomination in Denver.

In Pueblo, he will appear at the Colorado State Fairgrounds. Locations for the Grand Junction and Denver events haven’t been announced.
