NTSB investigating Aspen-bound plane that crashed

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of a single-engine plane crash in Delta County that resulted in the pilot’s death.

The plane, traveling from California to Aspen, crashed into a residential area north of Cedaredge and avoided hitting a house. The pilot, whose name has not been released, was the lone passenger in the Cessna 210 aircraft.
