Dear Editor:In recent experiences and in recent years, after purchasing certain goods and services, customer service and warranties are a joke and a fight. Usually the first thing that happens is that the business immediately blames the customer, exactly like the adversarial court system has demonstrated. Customer fault is the cop-out instead of caring for and patiently working through the very real problems with their responsibilities. What happened to the customer being nurtured and valued?Taking care of the customer takes care of the bottom line, profit. All business manuals teach that it is smarter, easier, and less costly to keep an existing customer than gain new ones. Word of mouth is the most powerful advertisement, positive and negative.
