Now and then |

Now and then

When our “now”

becomes a “then”

it’s likely that we’ll

talk of “when” –

When days were bright

and things were done

which, in our minds,

we all called “fun” –

Stealing a kiss

when no one looked.

If Mom saw us

our goose was cooked.

So enjoy our “now”

tomorrow’s “then”

Eventually, we’ll

talk of “when.”
