Nothing but hatred |

Nothing but hatred

Dear Editor:

After reading the recent letters from some of the valley’s Jewish residents spewing malicious vitriol toward others in our community, including my wife, Sue Gray, I have to say I am sickened by the whole thing. Nothing has made me less proud of my Jewish heritage than these fearful letter writers.

In fact, I’m so disgusted by the whole thing that the other night I stuffed myself into the oven and told my wife to light the broiler. She wouldn’t do it. So I guess she’s not the anti-Semitic, fascist, neo-Nazi she’s been made out to be in the letters to the editor.

Fellow Jews, you are seeing bogeymen where there are none; buck up, show some spine. You have nothing to fear except yourselves.

Bruce Gray

Aspen electeds low on high density in area neighborhoods

The city of Aspen’s land use code says that only single-family homes can be built on lots smaller than 6,000 square feet in certain neighborhoods. That might change if Aspen City Council allows a proposed change that allows multi-family buildings to be developed.
