Not on board with new commenting system

Dear Editor:

I tried to add a small comment today, in response to another letter about longtime and valued resident, Emmy Neil. I was first surprised that The Aspen Times was, at last, accepting some comments. I quickly learned that only Facebook members can leave a comment.

Does this mean the newspaper limits public comment to affiliation with a private enterprise? Not all of us wish to participate in the Facebook overload.
