Dear Editor:A recent letter urged those concerned about a party pool impacting ACES to consider the swimming pool Jonathan “donated the majority of the money for, otherwise known as the ARC.” Andy Stone’s March 9 column exposed perhaps more than anyone needs to know, but it addresses the issue of donations better than I can. Andy wrote: “But his [Jonathan’s] commendable efforts seem to be those of the careless rich, the people who are gladly willing to do wonderful things … as long as they are not inconvenienced in any way So, in the end, what matters more? A wildlife preserve in the middle of Aspen or a well-connected rich man’s swimming pool?” Bert MyrinAspen
