Not in my front yard

Dear Editor:

For the second time today (Labor Day) I have turned away visitors who were told by the places they were staying that they (the visitors) must find some place in town to throw their trash, or they can leave it in front of any house and it will be dealt with by the person living in the chosen house.

Whoever is responsible for this gem of misinformation ought to be visited by bears at least once a day and fined by the city at least once a week and be forced to put up with verbal abuse from such as me before they are allowed to leave the city.
