Not cool enough for snowboard school
I want the skiing/riding public to know (as if it didn’t already) that Alison Berkley’s portrayal of the life and thought of ski and snowboard pros in our school is ridiculous. I’m sure it had to be a satire, but I’m not sure where the satire was.
So in the absence of clarity about whether she’s trying to be funny or not, I’ve gotta say that I’m fanatically proud of our school and really appreciative of our guests. In the last few years, I’ve gotten to know the snowboard division pretty well, and I’m thrilled with their dedication, skill and sincerity. I’ve also been teaching for about 40 years, and I’m really grateful for the time I’ve spent and the learnings I’ve acquired from our students.
To paraphrase the end of her article ” she’s not cool enough for snowboard school.
On Monday night, the City Council listened to ideas for each old building. However, nothing laid out what the community space would actually entail — only aspirations and gathered community comment.
