No one hurt in West Glenwood fire

GLENWOOD SPRINGS ” A structure fire was reported at about 5:25 p.m. Monday at 0074 Mitchell Creek/County Road 132 in West Glenwood Springs.

Firefighters found a bilevel residential structure with a fire in the basement apartment. All residents and three animals were safely evacuated.

Firefighters quickly contained the fire, according to a press release from the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.

Glenwood Springs fire and police departments and Garfield County Sheriff’s deputies responded.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
