Nicholas McChesney

Nicholas Warren McChesney, of Longmont, Colo., died June 29, 2008, in Aspen from a drowning accident at the “Punchbowl” in the Roaring Fork River.

Nick was 22 years old at the time of his death. He was born in Redwood, Calif., and moved to Colorado with his family when he was 2. He grew up on his parents’ ranch, Triple Creek Ranch, and graduated from Silver Creek High School in Longmont. He attended Mesa State College for two years before moving to Aspen and working at the T-Lazy 7 ranch for the past three years.

Nick lived a wonderful, fun-filled life and loved motorcross riding and had a passion for snowboarding and horses. Nick was a quiet, loving, caring man who dedicated himself to his love of family and friends.



He is survived by his parents, David and Lynn McChesney, and brothers Matt and Zack , as well as an extensive loving family all over the country.

Visitation will take place from 8 to 11 a.m., Saturday, July 5, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., July 5, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1000 W. 15th Ave., in Longmont. Cremation will follow the service at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
