Snowmass Village terminated Town Planner Chris Conrad from his position Friday.

Officials with the town of Snowmass Village would not comment about the firing. Conrad also declined comment. He worked for the town government for 23 years in two separate stints, most recently earning $103,813 annually.

Jazz Aspen Snowmass’ concerts by the duo of singer Cyrille Aimee and guitarist Diego Figueiredo, scheduled for Friday in the JAS Cafe Downstairs@the Nell series, have been postponed because of traveling delays. The duo will perform on Sunday, with shows at 7:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on the lower level of The Little Nell. The concerts scheduled for tonight are set to take place as scheduled.

Aspen government immune from development fees

The city of Aspen’s office building is exempt from paying encroachment fees, yet private developers have to now pay $9 a square foot, per month, starting in 2020.
