Newman is a Win-Win … Win

Dear Editor:

Voting for George Newman represents a win for preserving our rural character in Pitkin County, a win for conservation of our natural resources and a win for collaborative and productive governance. As a 30-plus year resident of our valley, George has spent the majority of those years working for and in the best interest of our valley. George has a proven track record of working cooperatively and getting things done.

I know George best through his work with Roaring Fork Leadership, formerly Leadership Aspen. I am a 1997 graduate of the program and current board member. The program’s mission is to develop our community’s leaders and to teach them to work together productively and collaboratively. George’s vision in creating this program and commitment to its continued success, combined with his determination to preserve and conserve our natural resources, makes him the clear choice for our next County Commissioner.
