New snow at Aspen, Snowmass

ASPEN ” Snowmass picked up 5 inches of new snow overnight, boosting conditions as the ski area opens a couple of additional runs on Wednesday.
Aspen Mountain received 3 inches, according to the Aspen Skiing Co.’s morning snow report. Three inches also fell at Aspen Highlands, while Buttermilk picked up 2 inches; the latter two areas are not yet open for skiing and riding.

Elsewhere around Colorado, Breckenridge reported 9 inches of new snow overnight, Beaver Creek picked up 6 inches, Vail received 4 inches, Copper Mountain is reporting 3 inches, Loveland picked up 2 inches and Crested Butte is reporting 1 inch of new snow.
The snow has led to chain restrictions for commercial vehicles on Interstate 70 in both directions at the Eisenhower Tunnel and on eastbound Vail Pass.
