New service at airport

Kat Chorman, a transportation security officer, helps a customer in the new Transportation Security Administration check-in line at the Aspen Airport. TSA Pre is an expedited screening program that allows pre-approved travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and their compliant liquids/gels bag in a carry-on in select screening lanes. The first TSA Pre line opened at Aspen Airport on Friday. It’s a two-part process for those who wish to apply for the program. First access the aspenairport.com website, find the link to “pre-check” and fill in the information required. The second part of the application must be done in-person. People who live near Aspen can chose an application date at Aspen Airport between either March 11-13 or March 18-20. The next closest in-person application sites are Grand Junction and Denver.
