New rules for a new era
Dear Editor:
Now that the election is over, a couple of catch-up issues:
1. In order to prevent a forest-ranger shortage, rangers can work on trails instead of wasting time giving tickets to well-behaved dogs and their owners.
2. Wildwood School mandates that 3-year-olds take the school bus. The Aspen School District should make it impossible for parents to drop kids off, and students should not be allowed to park cars on campus.

Aspen and Pitkin County have the largest black bear population and as such, are hoping for a big portion of a Colorado Parks and Wildlife grant to help educate and enforcement rules around securing trash.
