NEPSA awards take it to the ‘Extreme’

ASPEN – The Seventh Annual NEPSA Video Awards were held Thursday night at the Wheeler Opera House.Pat Sewell, a Team/Aspen Snowmass athlete, and Jeremy Rubingh earned the night’s top prize: Gift cards from Target totaling $3,000.Second place went to James Logan, Tyler Middleton, Derek Koster and Greg Ernst, who earned $1,750 in Target cards.Mike Cuseo won third place and two $500 gift cards.Logan, Middleton, Koster and Ernst also won the crowd favorite award (based on a text-in vote by the crowd) for their film “Aspen Extreme Redux.” The prize was an additional $500 Target gift card. Each submission for this year’s awards could have one of three themes: There’s No Place Like Home, Ski & the City, or Neon.The awards ceremony was again hosted by Snowmass freeskier Chris Davenport, aka “Babyblue Magic”, and Travis McClain, also known as “Twinkle Fantastic”.
