Nathan Skogen of Grand Junction died Friday, June 12, 2009 in Carbondale as the result of a motorcycle accident.

Nathan was born July 14, 1991, in Columbia, S.C., to Terry and Kathi McNeel Skogen. He spent his childhood in Pennsylvania and Colorado and was a senior at Fruita Monument High School. He was a student and hardwood floor worker. Nathan was a member of Canyon View Vineyard Church. He enjoyed Par Cor, motorcycles, snowboarding, air soft paintball, hiking and rock climbing and mountain biking. Nathan loved to encourage and give hope to others about the love of God. He wanted to be a medical missionary.

Nathan is survived by his parents, Terry and Kathi, and three brothers, Ben, Sam and Jon Skogen, all of Grand Junction. His sister, Rachel preceded him in death.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, June 16. In lieu of flowers, please give money to Canyon View Missions Program at CVVC, Attn: Betty McCain, 736 24 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
