A May 23 memorial service is planned for Nasie Mary Natal Pecjak, who died April 16.

Nasie Mary Natal Pecjak died in Valley View Hospital on April 16, 2006. She was 90 years old.

Nasie was born in Woody Creek on March 30, 1916, to Victor and Valerie (Betemps) Natal. She was a lifetime resident of the Roaring Fork Valley. She was married to Matthew Pecjak, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Valerie Natal; an infant daughter, Valerie; two sisters, Rosina Natal of Woody Creek and Pierina Usel of Basalt and Fort Collins; and two brothers, Arthur Natal of Carbondale and Stanley Natal of Woody Creek. Nasie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Emma Natal of Carbondale and Cora Natal of Glenwood Springs; four nephews, August Natal of Carbondale, Dennis Natal of Paonia, Ronald Natal of Pueblo and Stanley Usel of Fort Collins; and two nieces, Laurie Mullins of Colorado Springs and Rosina Johnson of Albuquerque, N.M.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. May 23 at the Farnum-Holt Funeral Home with a reception following at the funeral home. Family and friends will then meet at 2 p.m. at Red Butte Cemetery in Aspen for interment.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Crystal Meadows, 1250 Hendrick Drive, Carbondale, CO 81623, c/o Jerrelyn Nieslanik.
