Music is the medium
Dear Editor:
On behalf of Feed Them With Music (feedthemwithmusic.com), I would like to thank all valley residents for your support this summer at the Aspen Saturday Market, the Carbondale Farmers Market, Mountain Fair and Carbondale First Fridays. FTWM is a Carbondale-based nonprofit that feeds hungry people “globally and locally,” using music as a fundraising medium. Together this summer, we raised enough to provide more than 8,000 meals to those desperately in need.
Moving forward, I have a proposal for all nonprofits and fundraising events: I will provide music for your nonprofit event or fundraiser FREE OF CHARGE if, in return, you will let me put out my collection jar and banner and take $1 donations for the Feed Them With Music program. Partner with us and let’s work to better our community and the world.
For information and scheduling availability, please call me at 970-948-7766 or e-mail me at dave@rof.net. From Paul, Ashley, myself and everyone involved with Feed Them With Music, a very heartfelt thank-you.
Dave Taylor

Joe Biden became the 46th president of the United States on Wednesday, declaring that “democracy has prevailed” as he took the helm of a deeply divided nation and inherited a confluence of crises arguably greater than any faced by his predecessors.
