Music for powder winter

Dear Editor:Once again the Wheeler Opera House is a standout in bringing interesting music to Aspen. Habib Koite and his group are returning to the Wheeler on the 15th of March. If you want to be thoroughly entertained and transfixed by a group, this is the one. From the electrified talking drum to the ancient balafon, you will be in wonder. My favorite is the bass player who just enjoys his music so much, and this is not even to mention the dynamism of the leader Habib Koite. This is a musical event for the powder winter of 2005. Get your seats now and you will not be disappointed, because Habib and his band are at the top of the Afro Pop charts setting the standard for great Malian and African music.
