Muffled by the city

Dear Editor:

Aspen Council has decided to close down Power Plant Road, thwarting emigration of its integral work force. A city staffer in charge of emergencies has decided to not talk to the head of the airport, not comment at the airport public hearing, but wait belatedly to voice her concerns to the county board.

It appears that the city cares little about those who keep it alive and a city worker cannot express her feelings about a potential emergency until the eleventh hour. What is happening here?
