Dear Editor:The Advocate Safehouse Project Board of Directors, staff and clients would like to extend our deepest appreciation to everyone who supported our A Gift of Hope campaign this past holiday season. The residents in Garfield County continue to amaze me in how much you all support the Advocate Safehouse Project especially during these economic hard times. There were many individuals, families and businesses that sponsored some of our clients with Holiday Baskets this holiday season. Thank you! You truly made the difference for these families. Christmas morning was so much brighter for these families than they ever thought possible.Thinking of domestic violence and sexual assault during the holiday season is not a delightful topic, but this truly can be a dangerous time for many families. While violence may not be present in your home, it may be in the life of someone you care about a family member, a neighbor, co-worker or a friend.Because of community members like YOU, working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault is made a bit easier. Thank you for Caring & Sharing with the Advocate Safehouse Project and our clients! Your support is deeply appreciated!Julie Olsonexecutive directorThe Advocate Safehouse Project

: The Colorado Department of Transportation gives Aspen’s roundabout a poor grade in terms of level of service so it’s thinking about making changes. But first, a study or two must be done.
