Mpls-Aspen flight available three times a day

Northwest Airlines will add a third daily nonstop flight to Aspen from Minneapolis, beginning Feb. 12. Aspen will have nonstop service from five cities this winter: Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver, Memphis, Tenn., and Minneapolis, down from six last winter.
“Northwest Airlines has demonstrated a tremendous commitment to the Aspen/Snowmass market with this additional service from their primary hub,” said Bill Tomcich, president of reserva-tions
agency Stay Aspen Snowmass, in a press release.
From Feb. 12 through April 3, Northwest will operate three daily nonstop flights between Aspen and Minneapolis and one daily nonstop flight from Memphis. Northwest’s seasonal service into
United Express resumes its full winter schedule into Aspen on Dec. 15, with up to 12 flights daily from Denver and one non-stop
from Los Angeles. United is also adding up to six additional flights on weekends through the busy Christmas season.

“United continues to refine the timing of all flights in and out of their Denver hub, and will offer passengers better-timed connections with more options to and from most of our top markets,” Tomcich said.
America West Express continues to offer at least one daily flight between Phoenix and Aspen year-round.
The Eagle County Regional Airport, about an hour’s drive from Aspen, will be served by six airlines this winter with non-stop service from 12 cities.
