Moved by the support

Dear Editor:

On Oct. 27, 2010, we lost our precious baby William to SIDS (sudden unexplained infant death syndrome). Losing a child is every parent’s worst nightmare, and the days and weeks since William’s passing have been very difficult. We have received an outpouring of support from the community, and for this we are grateful. We want to thank our friends, family and neighbors for all of their help the last couple of months. We appreciate everyone who has kept our family in their thoughts, hearts and prayers.

We want to give special thanks to the management and employees of Carl’s Pharmacy, and Aspen City Market, the Basalt schools, the Farnum Holt Funeral Parlor, the Basalt fire and rescue department, the staff at Valley View Hospital, Alpine Bank, and everyone who has donated to the William Bennett Koch memorial fund.

We miss William very much, and his death has left a huge hole in our lives and hearts. The love and support we have received from the people of the Roaring Fork Valley have given us strength to honor William’s memory instead of only dwelling on his passing.

Thank you.
