Mountain Mayhem: Surreality
The Aspen Times
Aspen, CO Colorado
On a Friday evening in January, a hundred or so guests gathered at local real estate agent David Lester’s pad near North Star Preserve for a house party. Lester opened his East Aspen residence for the event where Champagne flowed like water and the women outnumbered the men by a landslide. To cater to the crowd’s musical tastes, DJ Flow was flown in from New York and set up on the second floor balcony in full view of the living room dance floor.
The difference between this social occasion and others was the presence of camera operators and production crews roaming around the house. The entire evening was filmed for a pilot episode of an Aspen reality show. Per the producer’s request, the stars of the show and proposed networks to carry it should remain nameless for now though rumors abound at the party that it was about Cougars on the prowl in town.
