Mountain Mayhem: Camping season kick off

The beloved Big B’s Delicious Orchards is the setting for the all-inclusive weekend combining camping amid blooming apple orchards and under open skies, live music by day and dusk, fireside chats, food and drinks, barbecue gatherings, yoga, outdoor adventures, agricultural experiences, plus much more. The family- and pet-friendly setting also features a kids’ playground, s’mores, face painting, hay bale rides, and plenty of space to run around. 

Pricing is approachable, with adults (13 and older) charged $100 for the two nights with camping, kids (12 and under) free, a meal pass (required for all ages) at $50 (includes Saturday breakfast, Saturday dinner, and Sunday breakfast buffets), and a music-only pass (designed for the locals who just want to come for the day) for free.

High Points: Support public radio

You likely have heard that amongst the litany of tyrannical acts the Trump administration is attempting to implement, one is the defunding of public media, including National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). On May Day, in the dark of night, the White House issued an executive order titled “ENDING TAXPAYER SUBSIDIZATION OF BIASED MEDIA.” Never mind that the President does not possess the authority to unilaterally suspend funding for public media; that authority rests with Congress.
