Longtime local David Meeker celebrated his 70th lap around the sun on Saturday, Nov. 30, with a birthday party of grand proportions at Buttermilk Mountain Lodge. Friends and family members traveled from near and far to take part in the get-together for Dave who pulled out all the stops with a live band, DJ, dinner, drinks, and cake.

Afterward the gracious host and guest of honor noted, “This was the best birthday party I’ve ever had. Maybe next year, we’ll do another one!”
