More of a hassle for horses
Dear Editor:Thank you, RFTA.Once again you promise to consider the welfare of horses using the Rio Grande Trail and once again you could not have made it more hazardous. You can not claim ignorance as equine enthusiasts have spoken to various individuals “in charge” and every thing said, seems to fall onto deaf ears. Most recently you have put a sealer on the trail that runs through Emma. Try to find traction with something steel on that path, such as a horse’s shoe. We have already had at least one accident in which a horse slipped, fell, lacerated his hind legs and ran off free down the main road … what are you thinking? Why did we (equine enthusiasts) vote yes for this multi-use trail?Where is your consideration for the other users?Pam FisherPresident, Ruffian StablesEmma
