Mohrman the best candidate

Aspen Times writer

Dear Editor:Shellie Roy’s claim in her advertising for re-election to the Pitkin County BOCC should be analyzed carefully.”[I] Defeated S.B. 215 – an attempt to undo 30 years of land-use control.”Not true!S.B. 04-215 was not defeated! It was tabled by the Senate and House sponsors for future discussion. This is just another in a long list of claims by the commissioner, which should be taken with more than just “a grain of salt.” Try a pound or two.William Mohrman tells the truth all the time and has forward-looking ideas for our county. He will be a perfect representative for all the citizens of Pitkin County.Vote William Mohrman for Pitkin County BOCC with early voting currently under way at the county clerk’s office, 530 E. Main St., or on Aug. 10 at your precinct locations.P.S. Your (Aspen Times) endorsement of both Owsley and Roy seems to bolster your fear of a current commissioner when you quote, “Mohrman … lent his name … to efforts to recall … Mick Ireland. Mohrman … supports many of the land-use restrictions in the county code but his record raises a red flag.” Bunk. You even admit, “Bill Mohrman brings valid points to the table.”That he does, and he is the best candidate.Peter NicklinAspen
